Hi Pursebuzz,
Are these mac products to be used as blush? Or can you replace them for foundation (like everyday minerals)??
Hi Chrissy
Yes, you can use this over foundation or just over the skin, however it may not conceal as well as a mineral foundation. I haven’t seen it yet, but from what I can see its the pressed version of the beauty powders that come out in the limited edition sets.
Hey pursebuzz,
First off: I absoloutly LOVE your website, I just signed up yesterday..& I’m already in LOVE hehe.
I use alot of Mac brushes and cream base’s, But I’ve never tried out their eye shadows.. In your video’s I hear you saying ‘I’m dipping this brush into..’
So are Mac eye shadows like a mineral? Or are they compact [meaning pressed]?
I don’t mind minerals but I’d prefer just using it for my foundation rather then an eye shadow..

that’s a pretty broad general question. my take on the question is that she uses her brushes for all her mac shadows, minerlized (flashtronic)eyeshadows, pigments.
from the videos ive been watching recently, i think she is dipping her brushes into her paint pots (i.e. barestudy, indianwood, fresco rose, etc)
Hi pursebuzz,
I was just wondering, how does someone become a mac pro?
ooh ok, lol.. I’ve never tried anything from Mac except brushes & base’s. Thanks alot though hannika… Now I can go ahead and buy some Mac eyeshadows! I’ve been wanting to do it but I wasn’t sure if they were minerlized or anything.
Thanks again
The shadows are pressed, but they also sell pigments which is loose and can be placed all over. Check out their site to see the diff
I somehow got lost in this thread. Any hoo - I use MAC e/s wet or dry. There are certain limited edition MAC e/s that are mineralized. Remember the Duo-Tones? I love those! Same with Flashtronic e/s and I get more color if I use a damp brush. So I dip my brush on Mixing Mediums every now and then.
Awesome, This has helped alot pursebuzz.
I’m planning on going in and buying a pigment tommorow, What colour do you suggest getting? I notice in your videos you put colours on top of a pigment? Is there a certain colour you suggest for that?
Also, This question is for anyone and it’s kind of off topic.
I was on the e.l.f website [eyes, lips, face] I’m not sure if anyone really knows of this, But they have amazing prices, Almost to amazing if that makes sense?
I was wondering if anyone here has ever purchased anything from e.l.f? I was thinking of buying the brushes.. Not sure how good of a quality they will be though. So has ANYONE purchased ANYTHING from e.l.f? And if so, What’s the product like?
hi queen.leepz
I made an order from ELF recently. I find their stuff to be nice if not at least decent and alright for the price. I like their cheek products and some glosses. I really would suggest looking up reviews on sites like makeupalley.com to see what the general opinions are. Their brushes with the yellow bristles are pretty nice, some of the other ones are controversial so don’t buy all of them. For eyeshadow just get their normal one and not the blending one. Otherwise they have tools/accessories (I recommend the tweezers).
The main issue with ELF is that they’re known to send out incomplete orders and not inform customers about sold out items yet charge them for the complete total. Whether or not they credit back seems to be a hit/miss chance. I ordered with a coupon code: CAROLINA … so everything was 50% off up to orders $20 before shipping. I paid $15 for initially 20 items and recieved 17. Whether or not I get a credit back is okay since I paid less than a buck for each thing. It’s a gamble. Their customer service is pretty bad but their products are nice.
Pursebuzz did a video on ELF products so do a search, some people commented about how they could combine coupon codes but so far the site seems to state thats not allowed. This is a long-winded comment, sorry lol.
I like the brushes, a few of my faves are from ELF, and for $1 each, you can’t beat that. Better yet - use the coupon code. For the price, try it out! You can always upgrade later.
these look wonderful! i can’t wait to try them. i wonder how big they are.
